Effective 31 August 2026 · Last updated 31 August 2026
Premise does not collect your data. There is no account to create, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. The app contains no networking code and requests no permissions. Nothing you do in the game is sent to us, because there is nowhere for it to be sent.
The rest of this document explains what the app stores on your own device, what happens if you use your platform's built-in backup, and what your app store — not us — knows about your purchase.
1 · Information we collect
None.
We, Team Mio, the developer of Premise, receive no information about you or your use of the app. We cannot see your progress, your device, your location, or whether you have opened the app at all.
2 · What the app stores on your device
So that the game can remember where you were, Premise saves a small record on your device. It contains only:
- which level you are currently on
- which levels you have completed, and your best move count for each
- whether sound is switched on
- whether haptics (vibration) are switched on
That is the entire record. It is a few hundred bytes of text. It contains no name, no email address, no device identifier, no advertising ID, and nothing that could identify you or your device.
It is stored in the app's private user defaults on your device. That storage is private to the app, and other apps cannot read it.
3 · Your purchase
Premise is a paid app. You buy it from the Apple App Store, and Apple handles the entire transaction — we never see, receive or store your payment details, billing address, or Apple Account information.
Apple processes your purchase under Apple's own privacy policy, as the seller of record. Apple may provide us with anonymous, aggregated sales reporting — for example, a count of downloads by country — which contains no information about any individual and cannot be traced back to you. The app itself does not verify, record, or transmit anything about your purchase.
The app contains no in-app purchases and no subscriptions.
4 · Backup and sync
Premise uses the backup facility iOS already provides, so your progress is not lost when you change or reset your device. We operate no server, and no copy of your progress is ever sent to us.
Your progress record is stored in iCloud Key-Value Storage. It is held in your own iCloud account and synchronises between your own Apple devices. It is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. You can disable this by turning off iCloud Drive for Premise in your device settings.
That data is yours, held in your own account, and governed by Apple's privacy policy rather than ours. We have no access to it.
5 · What Premise does not do
To be explicit, Premise contains:
- no analytics or crash reporting
- no advertising and no advertising identifiers
- no third-party software development kits of any kind
- no user accounts and no sign-in
- no networking code, and no Internet permission
- no location, camera, microphone, contacts or file access
- no cookies or similar tracking technologies
- no in-app purchases and no subscriptions
- no sale or sharing of personal information, because none is collected
The app asks for no system permissions at all.
6 · Children's privacy
Premise is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because nothing is collected, there is nothing we could knowingly or unknowingly gather from a child.
7 · Your choices and how to delete your data
Deleting the app removes the record stored on your device.
If you have used platform backup and want to remove the backed-up copy as well:
Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage, then remove the Premise data.
You do not need to contact us to delete anything, and there is nothing held by us to request, correct or export.
8 · Your rights
Privacy laws including the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights over personal information held about you. Premise holds no personal information about you and transfers none to us or to any third party, so there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, delete, or restrict. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not profile users.
9 · Changes to this policy
If Premise ever changes in a way that affects this policy — for example if an optional account, or any other feature that handles data, is added — this policy will be updated before that change is released, and the effective date above will change. Material changes will be noted in the app's store listing.
