PREMISE

A puzzle game that teaches you how it works, and then proves you wrong.

Forty levels. Five acts. Each act builds a rule you become certain of, and then takes it apart. There is no tutorial and almost no text — just a room, a block, and everything you assumed about them.

The game

Most puzzle games ask how. This one asks whether you were right.

Premise is built on a single move: it lets you become sure of something, lets you get good at it, and then shows you what was actually happening.

01

It never explains itself

No tutorial, no tooltips, no arrows pointing at things. You learn what the room does by testing it — which is how you learned every game that was ever worth playing.

02

Then it changes its mind

Five acts. Four of them end by naming something that was true from the very first level and that you never saw. The fifth says nothing at all — by then it does not need to.

03

It keeps the receipts

Your progress is not a grid of level numbers. It is a record of what you used to believe, written down one line at a time as you stop believing it.

Privacy

You paid for the game. You are not the product.

Premise has no networking code at all. Not a disabled analytics SDK, not an opt-out toggle — no code. There is nowhere for your data to go, which is a stronger promise than any policy could make.

It asks for no permissions whatsoever. Your progress lives on your device, and — if you leave iCloud backup on — in your own iCloud account, where we cannot reach it.

  • No advertising, and no advertising identifiers
  • No analytics and no crash reporting
  • No accounts and no sign-in
  • No third-party SDKs of any kind
  • No tracking, cookies, or profiling
  • No location, camera, microphone or contacts
  • No data sold or shared — because none is collected
  • No internet permission in the app at all

Launch

Not out yet.

Premise is finished and in testing. It is coming to the App Store as a paid game. If you would like a single email when it is out, ask — that address is used for that one message and nothing else.
